The start to the year has seen job cut announcements from major companies including citi (20,000 jobs), ups (12,000 layoffs) and paypal (2,500 workers will lose their jobs by the end of the year). Last year, we tallied 187 total layoffs among biotech companies, a 57% jump compared to 119 in 2022.
